Advmenu - tmnt2 does not appear in menu
« on: June 29, 2010, 11:04:28 am »
Need some help from an advmenu / advmame expert

This is really starting to annoy me. Tmnt2 is the only game that does this. It does not appear in the main game list. I assume this is because advmenu thinks the romset is bad prehaps. But it the game boots up fine when i launch it in advmame from dos.

Is it possible to manually add tmnt2 to advmenu to force it to appear in the game menu? I'm assuming all the game info is in the admenu XML file, is there a way to manually add or edit the tmnt2 section?

you can add it manually to the list
Advmenu.rcc ( hope thats the filename) or open the file whatever you called it. I called my Gamelist.rcc ( I setup mine as batch)

Just open it up with  EDIT and it very easy to undestand.  You can actually CUT  some the stuff if you don't use them. I think each game on mine is only about 4-5 lines of info.
Also you can EDIT the Description NAME so you can make it to whatever you want to say (as long as you leave the ROMANME the same).

Open it up and see what I mean by above.

so i just fixed it before managing to read your post, but thanks anyway for the quick reply

i edited the xml file

"driver status=preliminary" was changed to "driver status=good".
Anything marked as preliminary is considered a non working game, so it doesnt appear in the main list.
