Monitor: Tandberg SME-27FDL5(TB)
Had a very sad Friday night and hope the community can point me in the right path.

Friday night I installed my
TANDBERG SME-27FDL5(TB) monitor in my Mame cab. I just pulled out a 24" Sony with component inputs. I had it (Tandberg) working...but no sound because I didn't have the cab's speakers wired to the Tandbarg's speaker wiring.
Two things happened and then the monitor stopped diisplaying a picture. I left the monitor on while I was making the connections (dumb idea!)...and (#1) I dropped one of the speaker wires coming from the cab. The wire draped across the CRT board that had a metal enclosure surrounding it with wires coming from the degaussing coil attaching to points on the small enclosure. As I went to catch that falling wire, (#2) I bumped one of the Tandberg's internal speaker wire and suddenly the + & - were touching.
I heard a small crackle....and then the fizz. I looked at the front of my cab and no picture!! Normally, upon power you can hear the "bong" sound from the degaussing on startup....but nothing. No OSD display....I can't tell if there's sound as I removed the internal speakers....but I hear a small buzzing sound on a small vertically placed PCB located to the left of the main chassis board which I am assuming is the speaker board. (speaker wires are attached to it)...and there is a red light lit on the ir board where the power button is located.
I took the chassis out again and couldn't find anything that looked obvious...but I did replace the only two fuses I could find with exact replacements from Radio Shack.
Anybody out there have an idea what I should to fix or at least troubleshoot the monitor. I do have the service manual, but I'm no electronics guy....still quite a noob in that respect.
I really hate to think I shot this monitor. It was so beautiful connected via VGA....and it was so expensive when it was new and I got such a great deal from craigslist....I'd almost cry....not really but you get the idea...
