When I first powered it up it booted to this

Decided to run the recovery CD and it stops part way with this

I believe my recovery CD is screwed.

I'm almost positive my recovery CD is screwed. New drive, exact same error message during image center scripting process. There is a big piece of the CD label scratched out. I think I need to get my hands on a disk image before I can get much farther.

Or it could be that the computer that is housing everything right now isn't compatible. I have no idea. Seems just like a generic computer to me, definitely not original. MSI motherboard.

Brantford. You came to my old place to drop off a GT board a while back. Would have been a couple years ago though.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a place I can buy a marquee for Team Challenge.  Mine is currently Challenge, but I'd like the marquee to be the correct version.  It isn't a huge deal, but if I could find one that would be great.

Thanks - Adam

for future, mediafire is pretty good. it's free to sign up, and if you spam a couple email addresses and sign them up to the site, and do some twitter/facebook shilling, they give you more free space it's not hard to get up to the 55 gigs of upload space totally free.

also https://mfi.re/?j6dnmqo link for if you want to sign up and give me another Gig of space.  ;D

Thanks Ed the recovery ISO works perfectly.

Unfortunately after it completes it just brings me back to the original blue screen I was getting.

Any suggestions now?

yes very long listen colse
go get parition wizzard "mini" google it that way
hook the drive up as a slave to your main coumpter or "best" is usb drive
install mini
run mini in "adm mode"
if it is usb? un slave it
go to its hard drive #
as a rule it is #2 for me
go to the paritions it lists
delete them
then go to the drive its self #2 and clean it
then try to reload
if this fails ?
u need more work

The error message seems to be directly related to the hard drive but I've now tried 3 separate drives with the same result. 2 of the drives were pulled from working systems just to test this . Are there any boot specific bios settings I should be looking at? I feel like there must be something else preventing this from booting because hard drive failure doesn't seem likely.

Working windows systems, just various old computers I had loaded up for testing purposes. I was under the impression the recovery CD was formatting and creating a new partition table so any IDE drive would be compatible?

Hey Brad I have used old windows XP hard drives and ran the recovery disks with no issue what so ever and contrary to what Ed is saying I beleave the recovery and game disks reinstall win xpe on the drives and they have worked fine.

I would be looking at you ram with this issue and changing that and trying new ram or start with 1 stick in a different ram slot and see if you still get the blue screen as don't thinks it's a hard drive issue mate

spitfire
i will concour and hand u a point
but u see where u and i differ
is i WORK in this all day long.
it has always been my experince to fully clean the drive, so there is no under lying issuies with it going out the door
to the coustmers loactions and or home users ussage..the point of that has been well proven and talked about countless times
so there is no need to dewell on it.
yes i did not tell the @ to chk the rams, but a back ground on this tells u he is using different mobos and 3 different hard drives
i would want to cross the t's and dot the i's
but to each there own

So far I have tried clearing the drives out with the partition manager and also tried running kill disk on them (writing zeros on all sectors). No luck. I've tried each of the two sticks of RAM running individually in each of the two available RAM slots and no luck.
