Pac Man cab to build to not to build
« on: March 15, 2004, 11:12:40 am »
Well after finishing cab number 2 once again I'm thinking of building another one.

This time a Pac Man cab, however do you think I should buy an old cab and redo it or make one from scratch? I might even go with a PCB and skip the mame pc this time.

The only reason why I was thinking about one from scratch is that alot of the cabs for sale are in need of a lot of TLC, so I'm thinking it just might be quicker to start from nothing.

I would tend to agree unless you get it for next to nothing--by the time you are done stripping and repairing, you could probably have built it for less.  depends on the condition of the cab and what you are looking to have in the end.
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...

I want to end up with one that looks like new. That's why I'm thinking of starting from nothing.

I am planning on buying old pac parts for the cp etc and repainting them.
