Is it not needed for the random dynamic resolutions in mame.ini:
monitor custom
Otherwise it's stuck with the 10x or so pre-set hard coded resolutions?

What is a wall wart by the way? Do you mean the wall plug?
A "wall wart" is a power supply that plugs directly into the outlet with no cord between the outlet prongs and the body of the power supply.

Wall wart:

Not a wall wart:

If it can't dim that is fine. Just being able to turn it on/off would be great.

Here's an old thread with some useful background info about solid state relays:
https://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,137899.0/all.html

A relay board like this should work for your application.

https://www.amazon.com/HiLetgo-Channel-optocoupler-Support-Trigger/dp/B00LW15A4W/

5v to DC+.  Ground to DC-.  PacLED64 control channel to IN. ("31" in the example above)

12v from the wall wart to NO (or COM).  Red wire from the light to COM (or NO).  Set the jumper to trigger on low.

When LEDBlinky tells the PacLED64 to turn the light on for that control channel, the channel goes low which tells the relay to enable which connects COM to NO.

PC1: Ryzen 5 5600X - 32 GB DDR4 RAM - RTX 2060 SUPER (GALAX)
PC2: Ryzen 5 5600G - 32 GB DDR4 RAM - GTX 1660 SUPER (GALAX)
MAME 60fps 500mhz version of Bigtymer781.

I uninstalled the TAP files and did a new installation:

1 - I installed "OpenVPN-2.6.9-I001-amd64" (other versions didn't work including the latest 2.6.10). I restarted the PCs.
https://openvpn.net/community-downloads/

2 - I installed "tap-windows-9.24.7-I601-Win10". I restarted the PCs.
https://build.openvpn.net/downloads/releases/

Everything is working perfectly. There are no disconnections and the oscillations of the cars are almost zero. I hope it works out for you too. I'm grateful to everyone! Thank you very much!

EDIT: Obviously the fact that I changed my Core i5 to a Ryzen 5 (PC2) was essential, but even so there were constant disconnections.

This is unrelated to arcades but during my time on this forum I have read several threads that lead me to believe that someone on here might be able to help me out.

I use a CAD/CAM program called Alphacam at work to fabricate stone countertops. It has VBA integrated that allows us to create macros to automate the repetitive aspects of the job. We have an extensive automation system setup.

There was one item left out of the API for the version of Alphacam we have. The ability to read the state of the autosnap function from the VBA API, or a way to force autosnap into a known state (either on or off). The only thing we can do is toggle it (if it’s on, it turns off, and vice versa) but without being able to tell its current state we don’t know when to toggle.

I currently have an ugly hack in place to detect its state so we can decide to issue the toggle command to put it into the state we want but i’m looking for something better.

There are multiple thread here about hacking programs to get the state of features in game finding memory locations to rwad to add controls or force feedback, etc.

Would it be possible to write a small command line program to find the memory location that stores the autosnap state in alphacam and return a value when the program exits? I have the ability to run such a prpgram from our alphacam macros and import the value it returns. This would be a good solution it it could work.

How would I go about this? Any assistance appreciated.

No technical issues with ledblinky.  It's fantastic.  My question is something I either just noticed with LaunchBox (I just migrated from hyperspin 2 weeks ago), or have always had this issue and never cared to address it.

Setup is LEDBlinky, on Win11, with Launchbox, using 2 ultimarc servosticks.

When I launch a game, I have it speak all of the actions and blink lights.  What it does, in order, will be something like "Jump", "Punch", "Player One", "Insert Coin", "Primary control: 8-way joystick".  After the last spoken command, servostick 1 kicks in to adjust, then servostick 2 adjusts.

I'm able to start interacting with MAME before the spoken actions are completed.  For example, when it speaks "Player One", I've already inserted a coin, hit player one, and I'm holding on to the joysticks.  Sometimes I can actually start playing.  Then I feel the restrictor plates move, and I need to let go, for fear of damaging the joysticks.

Having the servosticks adjust at the end of all spoken actions is my question: I feel like I'm missing something basic to prevent that - like a checkbox in LEDBlinky Config, or something like  "block all MAME inputs until everything completes, including servostick adjustment"?  Or, can I make the primary controls speak first and move the restrictor plates - and then speak the rest of the buttons?

I've tried to google this, but my searches bring up kind-of generic results.  I even feel like I'm having a hard time explaining my question here!

Maybe the question is this simple: how do I make primary controls the first thing ledblinky interacts with?

Thanks for reading

Okay I think I know what you are saying. What is a wall wart by the way? Do you mean the wall plug?

I can't understand the need of setting on the fly an EDID for modeswitching. That is almost absurd : you need to trigger a read of the EDID at OS level. This is slow, has got a massive impact on the OS. So why ?

Price reduced to $150. I hate to toss this in the trash.

One thing to note - not sure if you can place it on it's screen to transport? It doesn't have supports to protect the backside. Maybe you can seatbelt it in upright, too.
