The pictures and description does not do it justice. The video made my jaw drop. Wow.

It looks neat, but it seems like a lot of work for something that is impractical as hell.

I'm sure it looks lame with decent room lighting, and in a subdued environment, no-one will want to be anywhere facing that projector.  It would be like sitting facing an open window as the sun is heading for the horizon.

I'll bet all the shadows and stripes on people in the room are cool too....

Feh.  Wait for "active paper" technology.   Then you'll see some cool stuff (if we live that long....)

yeah, it would only really be practical in a poorly lit, empty room.  it does make me want to get my old DLP projector out and play with it a little though.

I thought the exact same thing, but then realized it was for 'after hours' use. I would flip out if I passed a business and saw that going on. I'd also be writing down the place's number to ask them about it. I'd also be telling my friends about it, etc.
Brilliant discrete marketing.

Around here, and probably many other areas, it would be considered "moving signage" and they would likely be told to turn it off by the local zoning.  Some places are really strict about that stuff, even in commercial areas.

But I see your point.

Same concept, but used on a pool table instead:

That would be 800% more fun if A) she was nude or B) the billiard balls removed her clothes as you play.  >:D

Both of those are very cool... loved the Pacman and ghosts.

The pool table looks like a projection of real liquid rather than a digital effect. When the camera looked down, it appeared as though the balls were sitting on raised islands, surrounded by liquid.

I'd love to see a grid projected on it and each ball distorts the grid, like they're each pulling the cloth down (like an Einstein model of gravity in space). Shame it would only look good from a certain angle though.
