Sanyo 20-Z2AW monitor arcade to PC?
« on: August 15, 2009, 08:37:43 pm »
I have a working Sanyo 20-Z2AW monitor that was in my Tekken machine and I was wondering if there's any way I can connect this to the PC?  Perferable without buying anything.

Thanks.

There's always a way to get pretty much any monitor ever made anywhere connected to a PC!

That particular monitor uses negative composite sync so I think you will need a color inverter to get correct colors on that monitor.

Aside from that I think an arcadeVGA/soft-15khz and breakout cable should get you going.

But without buying anything?  Hmm, gotta be a way to make a pc invert video on it's own.  Maybe just an option in MAME?  I've never heard of doing such a thing but it's certainly possible.

Just to be sure, your talking about the Nintendo monitor, right?

Also, does this mean I'll have to buy an I-PAC too to get the controls working?
