How do I take this switch apart?
« on: June 26, 2009, 08:33:21 pm »
I need to remove some rectangle illuminated pushbuttons from a control panel.

I looked on Happs site, but these switches dont seem to lock/unlock like the ones on there.

First picture is the front of the buttons (bezels removed).

I tried to turn the nut off the switch, but it catches on the microswitch bracket (second pic).

I tried to turn the microswitch bracket to unlock, like the Happs site shows, but it hits the plunger and wont turn. (third pic.)

Can someone please tell me how to take these switches apart so I can remove them from the panel?
Thanks..

Oh.... and then take the nut off.   ;D

And actually, most of the time after you pull the light/switch holder assembly out then the nut will turn past those other tabs. So you can usually skip step 2 in green.
