WG D9800 (digital multisyncs) on sale
« on: June 19, 2009, 12:06:46 am »
These have been continually running the last month, and they apparently aren't selling, I'm guessing because not enough people know about them. Or maybe because they're flat screen tubes? Anyways, those looking for perhaps the best price, including shipping, on a new multisync, here it is:  D9800

Hmm... not much of a sale... mine was 370 + 90 some bucks shipping direct from Wells Gardner last november

On the positive side, I've been really pleased with the monitor.  Picture quality is great with Soft15hz and I haven't minded the flat screen one bit (and I was worried that it would bother me).

It's not like I want to buy a monitor from a company that apparently doesn't even have them in stock (backordered until July 15), but is selling them on eBay anyway AND who says the normal price is $499 when you can buy the same monitor from WG (who might actually have them in stock!) for $375.

xgaming has it's warehouse located 10 minutes from me, and they would not allow a pickup.

I have shipped monitors this size before and it cost me between 75 and 100 bucks ups ground.

So I bought directly from WG which is only 20 minutes from my house. Great monitor by the way, I love mine, I have had it just over a year now with zero issues, and it gets a lot of play time between my kids and myself.

Drop shipping... I'd bet anything they told him that because they don't actually stock them.

Wells Gardner doesnt even have any of their 9800's in stock... Called today to ask a few questions and they said they arnt expecting a shipment till early july themselves. Has anyone had any issues with theirs since they started manufacturing them in China? Is there any reason not to buy one because of this?

I noticed at the bottom:
Yes, you can complete your order, then reply to order confirmation requesting a pickup date at our facility in Joilet, IL
Gotta pay a $50 fee for pick up to pay for them to move it. I would park really really far and have them carry it all the way to charge that amount. Really far.......... over stuff - set up an obstacle course or something.

No, that is funny. Anyways, I seem to vaguely remember some issue with stock in warehouse. Alas. Sorry, folks.
