touch screen jukebox COMPLETE (with video)
« on: June 07, 2009, 04:06:36 pm »
I based the design of my jukebox off forum member "MoreBeer"'s jukebox design, which i loved.

Anyway here's my version of it, all the measurements were made up as i went along.

the base will house two 12's.

i will update the thread with more pictures as everything is pieced together.

any feedback is welcome.

Fantastic jukebox!

By chance does your Griffin Powermate give you issues on boot up? if so, try this http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=92052.0. So far after about 300 boot ups, no issues with the Powermate!

Also, a personal choice here, I'm glad I dont like your choice in tunes. I had to turn the volume down during the video.

What made you decide to use AlbumPlayer as opposed to other jukebox programs?

hey ford, thanks

yeah i saw that thread, so far so good, thank you for the heads up tho.

as far as the music, i was picking songs that were showing off the bass

for the most part i listen to club stuff like dj tiesto, armin van burren, etc etc

i just found album player to be what i was looking for in both the visual and functional dept.  its a little costly, but its only a 1 time fee, all the upgrades are given at no charge.

VERY NICE! What amp are you using to drive those speakers?  I have been thinking about building a juke box for a friend and was debating buying high-end computer speakers or building something like you've done here.

this is my amp

Oh.....my......goooooddddd! Your kiddding right! I had the same thought about a jukebox build, just for the heck of it, but that puts you at about night club venue loud which is totally insane for home use. I like it though! How are those behringer amps by the way? I have never tried one probably because I don't care much for their mixers, but that amp looks pretty solid.

Given the size of the amp, I'm assuming you didn't mount it in the juke box - did you? (there doesn't appear to be enough room in the cabinet)

That system must sound incredible.

I would tend to think so! You know that scene from Spinal Tap the Movie "These go up to 11." ? Yours must go up to 11,000! We're just going to have to start calling you Nigel Tufnel.

Great job with juke Nigel!
