In the end, a documentary is still a MOVIE, not a news report, and thus is made more to entertain then to inform. There will always be exaggeration, distortion, and convenient editing to further the drama of the story the director is trying to tell. This is why I don't take anything Michael Moore does seriously.
It all started one day when Steve finished a game of Donkey Kong at the local arcade and put another quarter in to play a second game, even though Billy had CLEARLY put his quarter on the dashboard, indicating it was his turn next. Steve clearly violated arcade etiquette and the price he paid was Billy's friendship. From that day forward, the pain curdled Billy's heart and his existence became a treatise in revenge, written in pixels and coin.
Heh, in 1982, I was 12 years old, playing Popeye at the local hole-in-the-wall arcade, and some 18-year-old dude came up and put a quarter on the edge of the monitor glass. I thought he just wanted to see me continue since I was doing so well, so I took the quarter, dropped it in and...it almost turned into a real life version of Popeye vs Bluto, with no spinach can in sight.

That's when I learned...you don't do dat!
