I know that the mod works better then ever after having the proper restrictor.

I got the exact depth to get the last arrow in the corner to register.

So the end result is that you only get the diagonal after you really really push to the upper edge.   Kick butt.

When I get the final piece from Encryptor I am going to switch it out just for perfection sake.   Been a long road.

This is the map that I used...and it is difficult to hit the diagonal which seems just about perfect!

But if I have to I can also go with the second picture or the third, depends on how I feel about extended gameplay.   I want to wait till I get the DOT restrictor, but before I couldn't hit the last arrow.   This is a breakthrough for my use.   All because someone posted that the posts weren't welded down on the Happs Flight Stick.   I just didn't want to break it!

I am back to the original magnet now which is also good and it is perfectly centered.

So here is where I started, and then after with Whynotpizza's improvement and of course new grommett.

and here it is now.

Pretty cool rig!  I was thinking of doing something similar on a smaller scale due to limited space under my panel.

A simple filter is no fun.   We like lists!

But thanks anyway.    It was kind of an offhand inquiry anyway.   There are so many to list.
Here's a partial list.  I'm not sure what you think Romlister is, but it should be apparent by the name of it, that it LISTS roms.  It's not a filter.

I don't know why Tron didn't show in this list.  I may have to post in the software section so NOP sees it and can respond.  I must have missed something but not quite sure what...   ???

By the way have you played with the modification?  If you haven't wouldn't that make one of us have a more informed opinion?

Where have I heard this said before ... and then dismissed ?

It seems so familiar ... almost as if I had said it about something ...

 ???

 :laugh2:

I have to say that the MAME digital/analog mapping is very good.  Now I say that for games like Tron, Xybots, Gorf, Satan's Hollow, etc which actually used a type of flight stick.  I don't think a long throw analog stick works very well at all for real 4 way classics like Pacman or Donkey Kong, mapping or not.  For those games, there is simply no substitute for a short throw, physically restricted joystick.  This is the main reason I have a bit of a 'frankenpanel'.   :embarassed:

genesim: try this map for tron:

This is the reason we all do!   Yes I agree that for those other games it isn't the way to go at all.

But I do swear by Call of Duty.    I think it is the coolest way to play FPS games!   Paired with the trackball, I think it is faster gameplay.

My whole arcade has been down because I hate Vista that much.   I get sick of it dying over games that are supposedly compatible.  Driver after driver...   So I figure until I buy XP again, I might as well fix up some things.   Moved the Arcade out of the living room and into the bedroom...to eventually go into another room when a child goes away to college and I finally get a dedicated game room.

Though it may never happen cause I like it in the bedroom!

Anyway I digress.

I will give you Tron map a go.   I was actually slightly thinking about it, and until it is truly up and going then the preliminary test is how it will be.    While playing 8 weight(constricted slightly) is key...the game can be played 4-way too, so your map makes much more sense.

Also the list by Hoopz is great too.   I miss my arcade!!!  It has been at leat 4 or 5 months!!

I got a new Magstik Plus and I can't wait to see how that works too.   Mainly for Q-Bert along as the dedicated 4-way restricted.   While I have played it outside and I am satisfied, there is no substite for finally throwing it in on your panel!

1Up,

Thx!   The depth of the bottom took a little more routing to make it fit, it is deeper then the bottom of the classic design..but thankfully not deeper then that the complete bottom.   So if you turn over the panel, there is a whole showing the rig...  ;D

Correction:  the last paragraph should have read:

The depth of the bottom of the controler took a little more routing to make it fit, it is deeper then the classic design..but thankfully not deeper then complete bottom piece.   So if you turn over the panel, there is a hole showing the rig...  ;D
