As usual people who BYOAC don't want a complete cab but is sure is nice to see another one available from a reputable source. There are lots of guys who make a significant amount of dough who do not mow their own grass and probably don't have the inclination to build their own cab. But make a nice looking one available and they will buy it to put next to their pinball machine and whurlizer bubbler juke. Hanaho sells a significant number of theirs and it is good to see Slikstik get into the game.

Precisely. Been lurking for a few weeks, saw this and decided to take the plunge. I suppose that I could take the time to learn the woodworking skills necessary for the construction/conversion of a cab. But, frankly, I would rather spend the time doing something else. So, my 'project' will consist of collecting
pre-fab components (ordered a slikstik already, the WG9200 is a self-contained
unit, etc) and putting them together. Sure, it costs more than building from scratch. Maybe even a lot more. But, that's what my time is worth.
One final comment that I think it worth mentioning, and I make this without having seen the specifics on these cab's so I may be wrong. If this assembly is based
primarily on camshafts with some angle brackets for support then this solves
the doorway problem. I have seen several posts about not getting real arcade
machines though a door, and thus having to sell them.
Camshafts can be locked and unlocked with no damage to the wood. The screws
for the angle brackets may be another story, have to see the end product, but
some 'pre-fab furniture' uses either bolts and nuts, or screws into something solid. If this is the case, then this cab would be able to leave via almost any door
via the process of disassembly. In fact, it may be the more stable way to transport in the case of a move. It is certainly the better way to transport pre-fab furniture.
In short, while slikstik and their new cab may not be the answer for everyone, but it looks like it may solve some annoyances for some of us. Looking forward
for the details.
