Clean the turntable motor pulley, the outside of the turntable surface where the belt touches, and the belt itself. This machine is old enough now that you probably should replace the turntable belt. It has probably stretched and is slipping.

this unit has no belt, it has a motor with a shaft that sticks up, and a little rubber wheel that runs against the shaft and touches the turntable, wandering if the rubber wheel should be hard or softer could be slipping

Could be any (or all) of the below:

The turntable motor mounting grommets are shot (compressed/dried out) allowing the motor shaft to sit cockeyed to the idler wheel.

Idler wheel rubber surface is worn too far allowing slippage.

Inside rim of turntable is glazed over and needs to be cleaned with laquer thinner.

Turntable motor bearings need oil.

Hi,

Ken is correct if you are in the USA then Victory Glass is your best bet.
If you are in the UK then contact myself or www.jukeboxparts.co.uk

With regards to the cleaning of the parts my advice is always use soap and water to get rid of the gease and oil (do not use on motors or electrics), any spays or cleaners always causes more trouble in the long run. If I was doing a clean up job in a pub I would ask for a shot of gin to use for the cleaning purposes.

Take the motor apart and check for wear, if none is found clean out the bottom bearing, reassemble and lubricate as per the manual (very sparingly)

The manual shows the tone arm adjustments: needle landing/lead-in.

Hi,

Ken is correct you need to get the manual before you start making any adjustments to the Mechanism. If you adjust one thing then it can lead to more adjustments also if one thing is out you can bet that most other adjustments will also be out.
