thoughts on how to switch from horizontal to vertical

as some of you may know, im converting an old horizontal cab into a vertical. im pretty sure all i hafta do is make a new wood frame that the monitor is mounted on to make it work,but im just looking for some more advice...any helps!

If the existing board isn't square enough to fit when rotated, then I would cut a new piece using the existing board as a template (just rotate the board 90 degress when tracing the hole).

that's what I would do.
I would bet you will have to extend the horizontal sides some.
I have never did this.
the only thing close was a monitor pointing at a mirror.
I removed monitor and mirror and made it vertical
