Just curious what games are considered good games to have in attract mode that doesnt promote burn-in ? I ordered a brand new 24.8'' ND CRT monitor.

Also where can i get a list of arcade games that used a 25'' monitor ?

and finally do I need to tweek anything in terms of my MAME ini (other then taking off roll left / and fake scanlines), I'm making a drastic change going from a 19'' lcd 1280x1024 to a 24.8'' crt 640x480. Will this monitor pretty much look good with everything even if i don't have an arcadeVGA from ultimarc ??

The best are ones that completely change the screen frequently, which of course newer games are better about. However, if the game displayed changes frequently - I prefer a minute but two is okay I guess - I shouldn't think there to be a problem.

On the second thing, MAWS, likely.

On the third, if you're going to display native for each game, then of course the resolution for each one will have to be set. 15khz is 15khz - thought it's conceivable the AVGA drivers have some stock differences in brightness, hue, etc than other standard cards.

About burn-in, I agree with Ummon. The newer games would be better, as they often have "story sequences" as well as demo play that isnt a static screen.

My suggestions off the top of my head:

TMNT
Final Fight
SF2.

SF2 would be a good choice as it doesnt have demo music by default (atleast the version I  have), but if you dont mind demo sounds, all of them would be good. (I think FF's goes the longest before repeating, but TMNT has a wildly changing screen, thus preventing burn in.)

Maybe you can simply use a Frontend that goes into screen saver mode and displays stills of different games. That's what I'm gonna do.

I use Tempest on my vertical, and Mario Bros. on my horizontal.

In the past, I've used the XP Picture Screen saver and had it go through the screenshots folder in Mame.
