Any of you played Jeff Minter's Space Giraffe (Xbox Live indie game)?  It's terrible.

Ill differ on the opinion of Space Giraffe...it's NOT a tempest game in terms of gameplay...many who hate the game treat it like a game of Tempest...it's so much deeper than Tempest could ever hope to be...which is both a curse and a blessing...

If you give Space Giraffe the time it deserves (requires) you will be rewarded by stellar gameplay that bares no resemblance to Tempest albeit at the surface.  The game's radical departure from Tempest style gameplay is usually thrown around as a negative by fans of 2000 etc (which I also happen to be) but if you give it the time it rewards in spades.

Not to be an ass but....

Sorry to be so negative, but I feel that strongly about Tempest.

Na, man, no worries. I just think it'd be a neat idea. And in discussion, I wait until it seems people are grasping the concept outside of their familiarity zone....or I decide to quit talking about it.

I bumped the thread cos I found it in a search for something else, and thought someone new might see it and be all, 'yeah, hey!'

Someone who likes and has the expertise for these kinds of projects - and who for all I care can take the credit. I'm merely an ideas person, and just wanna be able ta play it.

Post screen shots. I find people rarely get anything without pretty obvious reference material.
NO MORE!!
