Ipac4 issues
« on: November 08, 2008, 01:00:54 pm »
Im having some issues programming my Ipac4...

When I try to program the Ipac4 is timeouts every time. I did some research and purchased a multimeter and all my connections are good. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Also, lets say I do get the Ipac4 programmed, do I need to go into my MAME and other emulators and change the controls there to mimic the Ipac4 setting?

Thanks in advance!

usb or ps2 connection?

if usb try ps2.

also make sure you have usb enabled in your pc's bios if your using a usb connection for keyboard and mouse.

Im using the Ipac4 with a ps2 connection.
Im also using a usb mouse that works fine with it, another problem I had was that the keyboard coming from the Ipac4 was not working, I assumed that the Ipac4 was the default for the controls, I have a adapter thats ps2>usb, ill try my keyboard on that instead of the Ipac "out" for some more trouble shooting

Ok now that I have my keyboard hooked up via ps2>usb connector the keyboard works, but now the Ipac4 isnt doing anything   When I start up the WinIpac program to configure the buttons it doesnt detect anything when I push them. Any help on this issue would be great for this computer noob  :banghead:

There is an option in winipac somewhere to increase the time it allows before timeout. I had an issue with it timing out so I increased it in the option and it worked fine.
