router question
« on: June 16, 2003, 11:50:29 am »
cabinet 2 is soon to be underway and this time its t-molding or bust.

soooooo
i need a router. will this cheap-o ryobi suffice? i dont feel like spending a fortune on router i'll only use for slot cutting the t-modling in. i used .5 " MDF for my last control panel with good success so recessing really isnt a factor either.

your link goes no where. (even the full link)

I'm guessing its the 60 dollar 1 1/2 hp 8 amp model? Yup, it'll work find. Thats about the specs of my Ryobi and it chews through mdf like a charm. Even solid oak works fine with a good bit.
If you build a frankenpanel, chances are I don't care for you as a person.

I have the ryopbi and worked like a charm.  I have a few Ryobi products and like them all, especially at the price.  As Brax said, the bit is the key.

:) Rotate or die! :)
