elo touchscreen 15 inches (touch screen) ebay

Anyone come up with a definitive way of getting these things to work easily?  I was planning on going to radio shack today and looking for a power cord to at least have a 15" monitor...

I am still waiting for the parts I ordered to come in to see if they will work.  They should be here around 10/21.  If they work, I'll post all the information on it.

I have given up on getting this thing(ELO touch screen bought on ebay)  working. I guess I do have a very rough looking LCD monitor for my 75.00  .  Now I need to finish my project -  which model  ELO touch screen  should I buy for my in wall juke box project?

Simply put... hmm life happened =)

Anyway quick and dirty the parts appear to be the ones that will work.  I have not had a chance to install them and wont for awhile, but here is the info.  It came with 4 cords total.  The 10 pin header to power the touch controller (3 wires appear to be for power / ground / and frame ground), A header to serial port cable, a ground cable, and a serial to serial cable to attach the internal serial cord to your computer.

Hope my above post helps you get it working.  The wiring shouldnt be to bad with an extra molex from the computer. and if you have the mickey mouse style power cord from radio shack.  When I start working on my juke I'll post some more but that is a couple weeks away atleast... MAME cabinet is first (has to be done by next weekend... sigh)

I won 4 of these and sent payment.  10 days after sending payment and not receiving anything, I sent the seller a message.  He responded, saying that his warehouse was burglarized and the monitors were stolen.

I was the winner of 2 monitors originally.  Before I received them the seller emailed me and told me that a number of them got water damage so he would email me when he got more ans he would only be shipping out 1 of my monitors and he refunded my money via Paypal.  I got the 1 monitor which arrived fine but maybe he didn't want to tell you that he didn't have your 4 monitors and he didn't get burglarized.  He should refund your money!  Keep us posted.

Thanks for the info batdive.  Just ordered mine today.  $34.50 after tax and shipping.  Even after this unexpected cost, Im still under $100 for a 15" touchscreen.  Still a good deal in my opinion 

Now, what am I gonna use this for???

Anyone know of any good resources for building one of those bar or drink dispensing machines?  I think they are called a bar monkey?

I know it has been a while since this was discussed but  I have just got arround to getting this working ....I have all the cables hooked up and now I am trying to find the correct drivers any help would be appericated.
