I'd just like it made known that the guy is a BAD SELLER but you or saint either split the thread so no one can see the feedback, or remove the information from my sig.  It looks like you're hiding and condoning his bad practices. Call it moderation, but I call it idiocy.

I don't get what your issue is ...

  • you have posted in Bad Sellers thread and linked to a copy of your exchanges
  • saint split out the dispute, as he has done before
  • saint linked to this dispute thread in Eyedoc's for sale thread

Nobody is hiding anything, which seems to include support for Eyedoc and disdain for you due to your ongoing antagonism.

Nothing about the moderation smells of idiocy, but someone in this thread does ...

Lets imagine things went bad for indecks for a moment. The seller was slow to respond and sold the board indecks was interested in. That kind of stuff happens. Normal reaction is to feel a little hot and move on.

Not indecks though. He has to take things above and beyond. Seriously indecks, if this was your  board - what would you do?

Your reaction to this situation is silly. I've sold lots of things and from what I can tell, your one of the worst types of buyers. I'm not a store or corporation. I'm a guy who thought it would be better to sell it than to pitch it. I have a life and don't have time for this type of correspondence.

Since you didn't have a sale with him, I think the bad seller rating is abusive. I might as well give you a bad seller rating since I don't like your attitude, which is pretty much what your doing.

To be fair, he hasn't given him a rating.

He's only ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- on him every other way he can imagine.

Ginsu, thanks for helping me remember who this guy is (you're comment about his thread getting sent to post hell).  I knew he was acting like a baby somewhere else and couldn't remember that he can't be bothered to use the search function.

Agreed ... on KLOV or RGVAC this would definitely earn him a "do not deal with" tag.

Well that's just retarded. I did nothing wrong. MY time was wasted because the SELLER is a poor salesman.  I just can't understand how people here have no qualms about a seller being a jerk and selling out from under a prospective buyer.  Maybe it's because I have better morals when it comes to transactions, or maybe it's because I don't have my head up ---my bottom---. It can only be one of those two options.

If a buyer had someone place something on hold and then bailed on the seller, what would happen? The BUYER would be looked upon as a time waster and someone who cannot commit to something he/she wants to buy, but here, if a seller backs out of a deal -not only because he 'might not want to sell' - but because of his POOR COMMUNICATION skills, it's no big deal.

Am I understanding that correctly?  I'm pretty sure I am, and that is a terrible trait to have for an online sales forum.

your one of the worst types of buyers.

Oh, you mean one that tries to tell other prospective buyers that the seller in question is a poor seller, hopefully saving them time and headaches?

Yeah, I'm the worst type.  ::)

I guess you don't view his time as wasted? Why do you think your time is SO valuable, you won't consider that your wasting sellers time by your endless nonsensical drivel? Seems that most of us think your the time waster.

You think he's a salesman? Thats part of your problem right there. He's just a normal guy trying to sell off some of his excess arcade equipment. But, even if he was a salesman - your reaction to this is way out of line.

Call me old fashioned but someone with good morals probably wouldn't call someone a jerk. They probably wouldn't use "retarded" the way you did either.

By reading your IM's it looks to me that your very wishy washy and I probably wouldn't waste my time with you either. This isn't a personal attack dude, just someone who read everything and giving an outsiders opinion.

You need to just chill out and let it go.

the guy's not walmart
he's out to sell his games and not get rich
he's in the market to get RID of the games and recoup enough costs to buy more
i've dealt with him in the past and he was a great seller

in my opinion, he did nothing wrong, but you certainly feel he did
he seemed to care about that, and even offered a secondary deal
if you didn't want it, you should have said "thanks, but no thanks, i really just wanted those two games"
and i'm sure he would have even come back and said that he'd keep a look out for them in the future

geeze, it's a hobby, he didn't rip you off
he accomplished what he was out to do, get rid of the board

Well, then you obviously can't read or comprehend things very well.. And I'm sorry to hear that. I can get you a phone number for Hooked on Phonics, though the comprehension is what mainly concerns me. It's not a personal attack 'dude' but I'm concerned for your comprehension because it would help you understand things a little better.

So lets look at this.  "Wishy Washy", I guess that means you think I wasn't really interested in the boards or that I would have flaked at some point before the purchase.  OK, that's a fair (yet incorrect) assumption but lets look at the facts, again shall we?

Timestamps: First message received from Raven is stamed 9/1/08, it says 6:14 on my profile but that might be different for you in your timezone.  My response is listed as 6:26 the same day, in turn his first reply was around 11 the same day.  I did send a response almost immediately, but it's not in my outbox so maybe I deleted it or maybe I didn't hit send, regardless I make contact again 2 days later.  This would lead most with at least 2 braincells to assume that I'm still interested in the board.  Two days later mr. Supersales comes in and gives me a price - but says he wants to test it first.  I respond less than 8 hours later (a very long time for me) saying I'll take it if it works.

FOUR DAYS go by, and I contact AGAIN.  Wow, it looks like this indecks guy is *really* 'wishy-washy' when it comes to this.  He responds a day later stating he's on vacation.  Guy couldn't find 10 minutes to plug the board in and hit all the buttons and tell me it was great so I could pay him? Nope, cant find the time to make money.

EIGHT DAYS go buy and I have to pm him yet again and what's the response I get (two days later)? "I dont have it anymore, sorry. I cant find it."

Fine. Stuff like that happens. He posted the sale thread on the 22nd and I sent him a pm the same day about the two other games.  But was it a 'do you have this game' PM? No. It was an informative interest-laden response. Verifying what he had so I could send him money. He actually got back to me the same day and said he would verify them. I responded almost immediately and said "great, let me know I'll take them."

THREE DAYS later - he verifies it was what I was asking.  Amidst these 3 days, he sold the boards out from under me.

Yeah, I seemed reeeeeal 'wishy washy' about buying those boards.  I seemed like a real flaky buyer. Especially after trying to verify I what I was buying and telling him "if it's this, I'll take it".  What was I thinking? ::)

You have to remember that most people in this hobby have RealLives(tm) and selling some jackass a POS Streetfighter Eleventy12! bootleg ain't all that high on the list of priorities. Further, when somebody makes as big a deal out of a small failed deal as you have (particularly when money hasn't changed hands), it just isn't worth people's time to deal with you.

If you had behaved rationally, and made a single post in Eyedoc's thread, then that would have been seen as a reasonable response, but you had to go totally over-the-top, like you did in your Gal-Uh-Ga-DUH! thread.  Your whiny overreaction and piss poor attitude is what earns you the "don't bother dealing with" label in my eyes.

I've only had one other instance of a situation where I would rather run over the boards with the car than bother dealing with someone ... and you remind me of him.

PS -- I didn't run the boards over with the car ... I gave them away to people who weren't total jackasses.

Good grief. The horse is dead. You've said your piece. Let it go.

This is my weekend and I don't want to spend it babysitting the forum.

You've:

- Left your post in the bad trader's thread
- Stated your position ad-naseum in this thread

That's enough. Prospective buyers who research this seller will find both those items and can make up their own mind. Move on.
