Alright guys, it seems I hurt someone's feelings.  I'm trying to fix that right now.  I don't frequent this board much anymore, most of my time is other forums, and that is where most of these sales are going on.  I posted my sales guides there, but forgot to do so here, so I will add them now:

I'm sure everybody already understands this, but to eliminate any confusion:

1) Prices show do not include shipping, unless stated.

2) Boards will go to whoever says "I'll take it" and pays for it first. A lot of people are asking about the same boards, so if 3 people say they are "interested", whoever commits gets it.

3) Seriously, untested really means untested.

4) Non-credit card/debit card paypal only. My new account is not set up for them, and I am not going to change it. I also accept money orders, etc. but they must clear the bank before I can ship.

5) Shipping to U.S. only. I hate dealing with customs paperwork. If you really want something, tell me in your PM where you are. Then I can check the shipping cost since flat rate won't work.


6) If you have an issue, PM me first and we'll see if we can work it out.  This is all about games, and should be fun.

OK, fair enough. Here's the list of PMs.  I told him I wanted these items. Because of his lack of correspondence, I dont know if he got confused or just refused to sell and own up to it, but I showed more than just random interest in the original board (hyper) and the other two I wanted. I wasn't going to flake. I even offered to pay him on the 15th for the original board and he took forever to get back to me.

Hi, I'm sorry to be a pest, I was just wondering if you were still interested in selling that SF2Turbo cps1 board if it still worked fine.

I acn't find where I put it.  I looked through all of the boards I had sorted and boxed, ad can't find it.  I found some SFII: Champion edition, but not Hyper Fighting.  Sorry about that.  I know I should still have it, as I haven't sold it.  I jsut don't know where it went.

Sweet.  If the Street Fighter board isn't one of the two, let me know what kind of 'oddities' it has, crazy fireballs, hitting start changes your character, etc.  If it's crazy like that I might still want it.

Looks to be a Rainbow edition.  It's not a CPS1 boardset, it is a single layer bootleg board.

here is my offer to buy the board AGAIN.  I was ready to paypal the payment at a moment's notice.

I'm not sure what that means. Does it mean it won't connect to a regular JAMMA harness, etc?  If it works fine and doesn't seem to have any glitches I'll still snag it, and the dodgeball board too.  Let me know how much shipping would be, I'm at

The reason for my 'attitude' on this matter is that it seems Raven can't seem to keep things straight or respond in time. If he expected me to just say "I'LL BUY" and send him money without KNOWING WHAT IM BUYING then he needs to get some more experience in selling.  I'm not going to send someone money for something that he lists as a random "Street Fighter Bootleg" and take the chance of buying something I might already own. I told him if it was X or Y I wanted it. He verified that it was what I was talking about. That very minute he could have sent me a PM and he would have been paid. There was no doubt. It took forever for confirmation in the FIRST place, so I literally COULDN'T pay him anyway.  Believe what you want, the messages speak for themselves.

I gotcha, but what about seller/buyer honor? I'd be looked upon as a jerk if I said "hey I want this, hold it for me" and then bail on the sale.  It's like going to a dealership and talking about buying Car X and while you're discussing the terms, the salesman gives the keys to someone else.  I'm most upset about having nearly a month of my time wasted.

As I've said, "interest" doesn't equal "commitment.  If it did, I would have about 3 boards left and a full paypal account!  I have a list of about 30 people "interested" in almost every board I have.  Some of them in the same boards.  There were 6 other people asking about that bootleg CE board, but guess what?  1 person just simply said, "I'll take it", along with several other boards.  He was committed, and that's how it went. 

I offered to try and make this up in some way.  In fact, I called in a favor to another buddy of mine earlier today and tracked down an ACTUAL CPS1 SFII: CE Rainbow Edition boardset.  I was going to offer it to you for the same price as that bootleg board, and still throw in a freebie board.  But then I got home and read this nonsense going on.  Guess that takes care of that.

Come on guys, this is supposed to be a fun hobby.  There's really no need to get all bent out of shape over it.

Yeah, the last pms weren't posted because they had nothing to do with the situation as it had blown up in your face. I didn't ask for an Ikari board. I told you I wanted the CE hack and Dodge ball.  Common sense would have told you to tell others that this one guy 'indecks' who's been hounding you for a month *might* have more than a passing interest in your boards - but you failed to use that common sense and sold from under me.  That's bad selling practice no matter how you look at it.

Again, I showed more than passing interest. Also, if you learned to check your email more than once every 4 days when trying to sell something on the internet, you'd have had my money from me way back on the 20th.

I'd been asking about a purchase in general for a MONTH and had not let it go.   I wasn't going to bail on the sale. You can call it what you want you can try to rationalize all you want, but you screwed up.  Trying to fix something by offering to send something YOU DONT HAVE or something I DONT WANT doesn't help the situation.

I admit I missed the Dodgeball board at first but when I saw it on the list you posted FOR SALE I replied about it immediately.  All I see in your responses are excuses for screwing up as a seller.  And I don't care what you say, expecting someone to just send you a check for x amount of money for something you haven't described correctly (OR THAT YOURE NOT SURE YOU EVEN HAVE ANYMORE) is plain idiotic.  Not everyone is just going to send a check for something they know nothing about.

EDIT: It's clear that this guy has a problem owning up to something he screwed up on.  That's all i wanted to show.  So for those of you that are going to contact him to tell him you're interested in something, don't bother. A person(Raven) posted a for sale thread for items. You pm him with your offers. In the meantime, the items you wished for have been sold. Am i missing something else here?  Whether that is/was bad form or not, we remain neutral in matters between parties. We do ask them to resolve their issues like adults whenever possible. So again please tell me what can we moderate here in this case to get this resolved for you indecks? Our rainy day fund isnt here to buy you your pcb's.

One last thing, in reading above, no money has exchanged hands. Just as you state indecks, your time was wasted. OK, if it helps, im sorry your time was wasted. Just move on and work your magic in acquring goods from another party in the future.

Yeah, actually - you are.  Look at the timestamps. I'd been talking to him for nearly a MONTH because of his terrible communication skills. Also, because of his terrible communication skills it took forever to find out that A. he didn't have the item he was selling and B. when it came to OTHER items I requested to purchase he didn't describe them properly. So I had to make sure I wasn't buying something I didn't want or already own.  While I was VERIFYING MY PENDING PURCHASE he sold the item from under me.  I don't want him banned, I don't want him killed. If I wanted some action taken I would have posted a negative but have I? No. I haven't. I've just made it known that he has bad selling practices and HORRIBLE communication and to top it off he can't even follow his own rules.

He states he wants commitment by payment - yet starts taking PENDING ORDERS.

He's not a bad seller.  A bad seller is a guy like Harpal that takes a ton of money and delivers no product.  A bad seller is a guy that misrepresents badly what's being sold (eg saying a cab is mint and it's badly water damaged, non working and on fire).

What Eyedoc is is a guy that wants to sell his stuff, collect the money, ship it out and move on.  Was there some miscommunication here?  Probably.  Does that make him a bad seller?  No.  You've made your point - several times over, actually.  The info will remain here for anyone that wants to see.  

Keep harassing him and you'll earn yourself a vacation.   That's my final say on the matter.

Nobody is hiding anything, which seems to include support for Eyedoc and disdain for you due to your ongoing antagonism.

It can only be one of those two options.

If a buyer had someone place something on hold and then bailed on the seller, what would happen? The BUYER would be looked upon as a time waster and someone who cannot commit to something he/she wants to buy, but here, if a seller backs out of a deal -not only because he 'might not want to sell' - but because of his POOR COMMUNICATION skills, it's no big deal.

Am I understanding that correctly?  I'm pretty sure I am, and that is a terrible trait to have for an online sales forum.

I can get you a phone number for Hooked on Phonics, though the comprehension is what mainly concerns me. It's not a personal attack 'dude' but I'm concerned for your comprehension because it would help you understand things a little better.

So lets look at this.  "Wishy Washy", I guess that means you think I wasn't really interested in the boards or that I would have flaked at some point before the purchase.  OK, that's a fair (yet incorrect) assumption but lets look at the facts, again shall we?

Timestamps: First message received from Raven is stamed 9/1/08, it says 6:14 on my profile but that might be different for you in your timezone.  My response is listed as 6:26 the same day, in turn his first reply was around 11 the same day.  I did send a response almost immediately, but it's not in my outbox so maybe I deleted it or maybe I didn't hit send, regardless I make contact again 2 days later.  This would lead most with at least 2 braincells to assume that I'm still interested in the board.  Two days later mr. Supersales comes in and gives me a price - but says he wants to test it first.  I respond less than 8 hours later (a very long time for me) saying I'll take it if it works.

FOUR DAYS go by, and I contact AGAIN.  Wow, it looks like this indecks guy is *really* 'wishy-washy' when it comes to this.  He responds a day later stating he's on vacation.  Guy couldn't find 10 minutes to plug the board in and hit all the buttons and tell me it was great so I could pay him? Nope, cant find the time to make money.

EIGHT DAYS go buy and I have to pm him yet again and what's the response I get (two days later)? "I dont have it anymore, sorry. I cant find it."

Fine. Stuff like that happens. He posted the sale thread on the 22nd and I sent him a pm the same day about the two other games.  But was it a 'do you have this game' PM? No. It was an informative interest-laden response. Verifying what he had so I could send him money. He actually got back to me the same day and said he would verify them. I responded almost immediately and said "great, let me know I'll take them."

THREE DAYS later - he verifies it was what I was asking.  Amidst these 3 days, he sold the boards out from under me.

Yeah, I seemed reeeeeal 'wishy washy' about buying those boards.  I seemed like a real flaky buyer. Especially after trying to verify I what I was buying and telling him "if it's this, I'll take it".  What was I thinking?
