Exit form EMUS with "1+2" Keys
« on: September 19, 2008, 03:42:35 am »
I've managed to exit from several emus by the "ESC" key.
I have no esc key on the cab, so I want to get "ESC" when I press simultaneously 1 and 2, to exit from these emulators.
There's a way to do that with MaLa?

you can exit from other emus by using the hotkeys but not sure how you could exit in mame without using escape, probably easier to put in another button

If you want to set other keys to do ESC, then that is a fuction of your keyboard encoder not MaLa.

I think I-Pac's do this by default like mine does.

How can I do that?

Mame is the only emu I use, where you can set a combination of keys (1+2 in my case) to exit (you can do that in the input config menu).
The prob are other emus, where you can only assign one key to a function.

If you want to set other keys to do ESC, then that is a fuction of your keyboard encoder not MaLa.

I think I-Pac's do this by default like mine does.

Unfortunately I have no i-pac.

BTW I was wondering if there is another way to exit from emus and return to MaLa without the use of the keyboard (some sort of hotkey).

PS: Thank you for this piece of software (and the new release! :) )

under your other emu config, go to options and edit hotkeys

now add a close key and choose 1 to close plus shift or alt etc which will be player 1 start button and player 1 button 1 etc

now by pressing both buttons it will close
