It's OK. To each their own I guess. I like how it's thinner than your standard cab. I've been looking at thin designs for a while.
What puts me off is the idea that it looks retro and the subtle comparison to Computer Space. I realize it's an more of an homage, but still....
I have a few design magazines from the 70s and the look is really different back then. It's amazing that a lot of designs haven't changed (I recognized over a third of the tub designs in the magazines as ones you can actually still order at chain stores like Home Depot and Lowes. Thankfully, the silly French tub is no longer available.

). Anyhow, my point is, some of the styles back then were really radical, the CS cabinet being one of them. To me, the CS cabinet is most assuradly from the 70's and looks right at home in something like a Logan's Run decor.
This cab, to me, doesn't look retro. It has some of the stylistic elements from other cabinets (I don't see where it gets anything from CS though). Like the bathtub example, some styles simply refuse to die because they're what works and what people like. So it's only natural to see some stylistic elements in a new cabinet.
