Looking for Slim Cabinet Plans?

I have found many post and project builds for slim cabinets to house LCD monitors, but have not found any detailed plans.  I am considering building a cabinet and am looking for something that retains the arcade feel and look.  I want it to be easily identified as a arcade cabinet, normal height and width, but smaller depth.  I want it to have a standard 2 player MAME control panel (2 joysticks, 7 buttons each, trackball in the center, a spinner and a few admin buttons).  I want it to have a marquee.  I just don't need it to be as deep as I plan to use a LCD Monitor.  I really like the Steel Arcade and Ferrari Arcade projects, but have not gotten any response when inquiring about cabinet details.  Am I missing them somewhere?  Or has anyone that has built one got some detailed dimensions that they are willing to share.

You shouldn't need detailed plans; just sketch it on paper how you want it to look, measure the space you have available to house the machine, decide how tall you want it to be and work from there. We build many slimline cabinets so I've penned a few myself, however American cabinet tastes differ from Brit ideals as you generally have more home space available. There's no dimensions on this sketch, but this is something I knocked up for a customer wanting a similar cab to one you describe:

Check my thread. There are some plans there. Not overly detailed but a start.

I will be producing scanned full plans on paper soon though and then if anyone wants to they can do electronic versions for everyone to use.

I have a space of 8 x 16 inches for the base and 14 inches deep for the whole cabinet including display.  I just sketched something on Powerpoint, and I'll start cutting wood while the weather is good.

I recommend building these types of cabs in stages with dowels so you can change your design as you go.  Cut the sides in one go and you are stuck with it.

If you are going to make a thin cab, then it has to be thin.  You can always pin it to the wall if it becomes unstable.
