2 questions - 1 - why is this unique so i know and 2 how do i clamp the wires into this connector in the pc and how do the wires come out of pc when finished?

this is unique as a bulb is not polarity sensitive,in other words you can plug a bulb in either way around
almost all components that need a voltage to run are polarity sensitive,i.e if you connect a capacitor in back to front it will explode

get it?

cut the black and yellow wires of the pc plug/connect to the bulb using connector block/drill or bend a hole in the pc case or run the wires through a gap in the back

ok cut the black and yellow of te connector and put them trought small vents in back of machine - typical, ive run out of connector blocks, im away on the borrow - wont b long, as everyone has these

yes

one slight problem mate,your pc mobo does not have an agp or pci slot for a vga card

well that pc is just about useless for mame,there is no way the onboard graphics will support custom resolution and the cpu will run so slow that some of the games will be freezing

i have a good mate who wsorks for fijitsu so upgrade of parts shouldnt be a problem if i can do that to this pc - any ideas on wot i might need?

i have a good idea what you need,
a new mobo bundle,something a lot more powerful than you have atm
and a new power supply as a new mobo will not run on the one you have

you could buy the lot on ebay for a few quid

you need a motherboard that has either a agp or pcie slot(from this you can order the avga card)
try to get a mobo with onboard sound
the processor needs to be over 2ghz
a nice amount of ram
then of course you need a power supply with the guts to run it all

ordered a new motherboard for my pc - s/thing with a bit more juice - 2.4ghz 160mb ram and a 160gig external hard drive for all the music for the jukebox function.
also spoke to andy at ultimarc and ordered a arcade vga card( agp version)today so should be with me soon and then i can wire this baby up

remember that your pc psu needs the guts to run your new set up or it will freeze up and reset
