screen flipping

sorry if this is already posted but i couldnt find an answer.

is there any way so that when pushing down the alt and ctrl keys and a direction the screen doesnt flip. this is happenening a lot while im playing due to those buttons being mapped in mame. thanks.

Go into your video cards utilities and turn those hotkeys off. That, or map your MAME keys to something else.

I'd always advise re-mapping the standard Mame keys; why they were ever mapped to 'function' keys in the first place baffles me, seeing as there are so more 'regular keys that could be used with little possible complications like this.

On our machines, all controls are mapped to the A-Z keys and the number keys where possible.

The mapping corresponds to when people used to....or, maybe the still do?....use keyboards, although it makes everyone a righty. Weird.
