I saw this posted about over at the MA forum. He said he's a flash designer so there you go.
Figures. Most flash designers throw the importance of functionality right out the window. You'll be hard pressed to find a flash web site that actually uses ....... *gasp* .... 100% width. Maybe the majority of the world still uses 14" monitors? Who knows? *shrug* I feel so special seeing a 6" wide flash web page on my "state-of-the-art" LCD monitor. My monitor is
soooo big! As for efficient navigation..... do we need that? Nahh... we be honored to wait
ALL THE LIVE LONG DAY for the pimpin' flash intro and special affects! And for each page, please.... we all just love to wait for the navigation menu load. It's like making a late entrance to a party. It's so pretty. And let's not forget about the teeny scrolling text boxes. Who needs text content on a web site? We certainly wouldn't want to hinder the artistic design! After all, if a picture is worth a 1000 words, then flash websites shouldn't need any. What was I thinking! Oh.. and I have to say... it's so enjoyable to play hide and seek with the mute/volume control. I feel so proud if I find one, I start to get a little verklempt. Talk amongst yourselves.
As for the panel, I really like the stepped indentation that allows for pinball buttons. Simple, but clever.
