I think this is going to be the same for a cocktail and standup. Although, looking at the screen at an angle with a cocktail might change things. Yet, if you have a standup and play with more than one person, you will have to look at the screen from an angle also. So this pertains to everyone with an arcade monitor and glass in front of it.

Whammoed (reigning king of cocktails, in my opinion, so far) has his monitor real close to the glass but Im thinking of sinking my monitor real low to got a good view. Maybe around 3" lower than the glass. I was also planing on using a second piece tinted glass like the examples shown in the old Oscar's site.

(my respects to the old school Pioneers)
Oh, and by the way, Im dealing with a 27" monitor in a cocktail table. I would just experiment my self but I have mounted the monitor three times already just to make sure it fit. let's just say its not an easy job with the weight of the monitor, and the sanding, and chipping, and grinding, and sawing, and drinking vodka, and cursing and ect....

One more thing. I have put glass near my TV in the living room and got some bad reflections and thats where this post is coming from.
