I'm setting up my cocktail cabinet favoriets menu and want to put all the best games in there. Since there are so many greats that I may miss, I'm trying to find a list.

So post your links/list of your top 100 or so games!

In order played (I'm old so trying to remember. Please excuse if I mess up exact timeline. KLOV has a list thats a pretty good starting spot. Even though I don't like all of the choices, most of the stuff you wouldn't want to miss is covered.

I went through the process with vert games only for one of my cabs. I wanted the list very lean and started out with about 20 games. By the time I was done reading through the game list in MAME, I had 127 and still add one I didn't remember or know about from time to time.

These are the games I have that I plan to add to my arcade. It doesn't include Vector games since that sucky version of MAME didn't support vector games. This is not the complete list since I've added a few more games on the newer version of mame but this old list has most of the games I plan to add. They are not by any means the best games MAME has to offer but rather the best lineup that I considered to be played by me and friends when they come over.

I think I should make it a goal to play each one!

I'll have to add those to my favorites. I'm just about done with the configuration and will post pics once everything is running good.

I've ranked ALL games in MAME on a 1-5 star basis.  Just put "rankings.ini" in the folders directory of your MAMEUI install.  They're according to my own preferences of course, but hey, if you threw something like this out to everyone it would never get completed.    Anyway I've been playing arcade games from the 70s through to today so I hope I have a pretty good idea of what's good and what stinks, though I'm sure some would disagree.

I keep it updated with each new MAME release (more or less) though obviously it's not as tough to maintain these days.  The original list took almost half a year to complete, as I'm sure you can imagine.

If you like it or have suggestions to improve, great!  Let me know.  If not, well hey, you can't please everyone.
