Only buttons I will have on my panel will be the exit from game button which will cause the game to pause when pressed. Any and all other options will be done through shifting with a button hidden underneath the panel. No one else needs access to anything other options besides me. No need to confuse the users or allow them to enter anything that will change the settings.

You don't NEED any admin buttons, all functions can be shifted in mame. I usually shift everything off the player 1 start button (shifting all the player 1 buttons to admin buttons).
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

As mine will me my music repository as well I think I am going to put dedicated vol, pause-play, back, and next track on the cp. I think it is much nicer to have big fat well labeled controls than remember shift what again?
