I drilled all my holes and pulled out a joystick to see what its going to look like. I have Happs Comp and 3/4" thick cp. When I ordered my buttons and joysticks way back I ordered these with the intentions of mounting them on the back side of the cp not thinking if they would work. Right now  they seem kind of short.
So my question is are these stick ok to be mounted on the back side? I went on Happs website and all they have is a disection of the sticks and no other info, I'm wondering if 3/4" CP is too thick.

Thanks for the help

Which notch are you putting the "E" clip in on the joystick shaft?
Not a technician . . . . just a DIY'er.

I was thinking about putting it in the one at the bottom.

Just route out some of the control panel from underneath - a 1/4 inch should do...
