maybe someone who knows him "for real"  should contact him, saying that his fanbase is getting angry!   :D

The guy might be dead for all we know, is there any next of kin here that can confirm yay or nay?

Do not think he is very dead:

That's just me.  Before I killed him, I tortured him for his BYOAC login...  >:D

Maybe he built this Ark a little too well, and when he opened it back up again to tinker with some wiring, it had turned into the real Ark of the Covenant and it melted his face off? That would be pretty embarassing and righteously awesome at the same time.

So much for those "top men", eh?  Those lazy asses haven't done anything in months!   ;D

I think it's finally time to get this back on track.  Unfortunately, I'm going to have to re-cut the long sides and buy an additional 80 square feet of laminate to replace what was ruined.

My biggest hurdle this week will be getting the shed cleaned out and organised so I can get to work.

Thanks for the interest, everyone!

Do it before Thursday, though. We might get some rain by then! However, I'm enjoying the mild winter.

What happened to have it ruined?

I rolled it to take it home from the distributor.  This stuff can'r be rolled, even for a short time.  It has a "memory" and wanted to roll back up.  Made it impossible to laminate properly.

Ouch. Didn't they tell you not to do that? They should have. I wouldn't have known, but they sure as hell should have.

My fiance had never watched the indiana jones movies. We watched the first 3 over the last weekend. She has been taught.

Don't you mean the first two?  You must, since there are only two in the series.  Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

This is probably asking the obvious, but did you try rolling in the opposite direction to work out the natural desire to bend?

Ordered the replacement gold laminate today.  Should have it in hand sometime next week.  I'm planning on cutting new sides (long ones only) also.  Looks like this thing is finally getting back on track.

Thanks for all the interest.

Was it special laminate or something?  Ive kept my home depot countertop laminate rolled for months and used it just fine.  It does stay curved, but the force of the contact cement is more then enough to hold it and keep it on and flat.

I have been selling people on the idea of building their own cabinet. When I try to explain that the cabinets can be whatever you want, I almost always bring up this project as an example. I hope it relaunches.

Maybe someone can make a terrible Crystal Skull themed cab to agitate the situation. It could be all "Labeouf'd" out.
