Cheap DDR pads
« on: January 10, 2008, 01:26:49 pm »
Is this a decent DDR pad for PS2?  I'm looking for something cheap that works relatively well.  Any recommendations would be appreciated...
ebay pad

Are the foam ones really better than the plain cheap flat ones?  I'm totally new to this.

My buddy bought a pair of those for his PS2, and they suck. When you get to "dancing" on them, the ends started curling up, and you had to step off and stretch the pad back out again. When buying DDR pads off ebay, stick to name brands, like Konami or MadCatz.

Foam are definitely better than "soft" mats, but the quality (read: density) of the interior foam can vary a lot.  If you can get them, the RedOctane Ignition v2 mats were of good quality.  The v3 Ignitions had a bit of a quality control issue, from what I've seen.

Thanks, I had a feeling the really cheap ones would be crap.
