I run Vista Home Premium on my ASUS F3SC laptop and it runs MAME just fine. Actually I'm thinking of ditching Tiny XP for another license of Vista Premium for my next cabinet.
Yes Vista can be a pain with "XP" compatible applications and games, but that is due to how Vista differs from XP for example system folder names. File transfers are slow and old DOS games suffer under emulation. So what.
I have ran the latest games, Crysis, Orange Box, Bioshock with a better performance than XP. Heck Vista is more secure web wise too which is a bonus if you hate rootkits being allowed to be installed by lackluster security software (several I can mention). Vista locks them out (as far as I know)

.
My Topguns work fine in Vista, had them running off a DLP Projection TV which rocked even if we had to stand way back to get it to calibrate.
Actually I'm quite pleased with Vista, and I hope the Service Pack makes it even better.
So Fozzy please ensure you are talking the truth before you go posting

which makes me angry, as your previous comments in other threads are far more accurate and truthful.
And if the previous poster was THE AG - Thanks for everything so far and all the best for the new year!
