Bezel question
« on: December 26, 2007, 05:55:21 pm »
I realize I've been asking a lot of questions lately but I promise to give back to the community once I finish my project, so no worries.
I've tried to look this up everywhere and I just can't find the answer. I'm trying to order a bezel from http://www.mamemarquees.com but the measurement part confuses me. When it comes to the height and the width part, do I measure the entire monitor, encluding the "box" part around the screen? I thought I just had to measure the dimenions of the area around the screen and then I could type that into the site. Then the Bezel dimensions area throws me off even more. I know I'm not making much sense. Is there a walkthrough for this that I missed or something? I'll answer any questions you guys have for me if you need information to help me. I'd greatly apprieciate any help I can get on this. Thanks. :) Oh, and I'm not being lazy, I've tried to understand this for quite some time now.
No.

If you're purchasing it from MameMarquees, why not email them and ask for clarification?  That way, you'll know for sure what they are wanting.

When I ordered my custom bezel from Mamemarquees three years ago I simply sent an email explaining exactly all the dimensions. I was very explicit about how "thick" the sides, top and bottom were to be. I remember I was a bit picky about exactly how certain parts of the artwork were to look and Scott always sent me an email of the work he'd done for me to proof check it. Took him a few tries before I was perfectly happy with it but that wasn't his fault..... more me being extra vigilant.

But the final result was perfect! Absolutely spot all in all respects!

I was also thinking the same thing about the bezel sizes.
