Looking for a mouse hack.
« on: December 24, 2007, 01:23:59 pm »
Topic says it all. I'm looking for a (working) mouse hack for my Trackball. I've tried cutting up a few, but haven't had any luck. Eventually I plan on buying some stuff for it, but right now things are a bit tight.

I'm willing to trade for some vinyl work, either from my sets or custom work. PM me if you want to work something out,

Thanks

Do you need the Molex connector?

I have a molex connector on my trackball. It would probably be best to get a mousehack that has the other connector on it.

My previous attempts didn't work, and I don't know if it was the particular mouse or something I did. (They were all off-brand mice that didn't match up too well with what I have seen others do, so I was guessing at some points)

Better to make sure things are working so yea, I'm looking for the connector too.

That's been my limitation here; I'm not sure I've got the connectors and/or pins.  I can go get some @ Radio Shack, but they cost an arm and a leg.

I hadn't forgotten about you, but with the holidays things have gotten a little busy.

If anyone can get it to you faster, go for it.

Ok thanks.

I Think I'm set now anyways.  I'm going to take some Christmas money and buy a turbotwist 2 spinner with the trackball interface cable. That way I'll just be done with it and I can start working on the cabinet design.

Have a great New Years everyone!

We just started carrying the trackball interfaces here:

PS/2 Version - http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=TBIPS2
USB Version - http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=TBIUSB

Both come with trackball plug and a 3 button wiring harness.

Best,
