I am powering the LEDWiz (32 port) from a spare power supply I had lying around using the red(5v) and black(gnd) wires. I wired up one blue LED light for testing purposes only to make sure I know what I am doing before soldering all my other ones. Anyway, nothing happens ..... the LED light does not light up at all .... any ideas on how to test the LEDWiz lights?
BTW: I am not using a frontend to interact with the LEDWiz at all so I just want to know how to test the LED lights.
I attached a picture showing the power supply wires and LED wires connected to the LEDWiz along with the wiring going to the LED light. I also have the USB cable connected to my computer. When plugging in the USB cable to my computer, the new hardware was recognized.
Will you please confirm everything looks to be wired correctly in my picture. If it looks good, then does anyone have any ideas of what to do to get this LED light lit up? Is it possible the LED light is bad?
Oh yeah, I also brought up the Lumin Audio_WIP software but could not make any sense of it yet .... I will keep playing around and see what happens. Does this have to be installed to the "C:\LuminAudio_WIP" directory only or can I put the software in another location?
Any help would be much appreciated.
PS: The resistor which was supplied with the LED light is attached to the small wire from the LED light.
