Local source for arcade parts?

Does anyone know of a local source of used and/or new arcade parts in southeast Michigan?
I am specially interested in cabinets with working monitors or just working monitors at the very least.  I don't care if the game board works or not.

Alternatively, if anyone knows of an online resource for finding local vendors, that would be nice too.

I posted this rather than the buy/sell forum because nobody ever looks there anyway.

1) Search for "Amusement Devices" in your local telephone directory and call them and ask whether they sell arcade parts or know anyone who does.   Always ask whether they know someone else who does .... I find a lot of stuff like this.

2) Search Yahoo.com for similar results

3) In Ebay, you can go into the "Collectibles/Arcade and Jukebox" section and filter all postings for your area only (ie: certain mile radius from where you live).   Then contact each of those sellers and see what arcade parts they have available.   Make sure you ask for other contacts as well.

4) Go to a SuperAuction (or any other arcade auction) which might be in your town (or near enough for you to drive) and ask people who are attending the auction for contacts.

5) Go to the local arcades and ask the manager who the vendor is which supplied/maintains the arcade games at that site.  Call that vendor and ask for parts and/or contacts.

6) Call local pinball repair shops in your neighborhood and ask whether they know anyone dealing arcade parts locally.

7) Craigslist (mentioned in previous post)


This is a very good way to find arcade parts ..... hope some of these work out for you.

Those are excellent suggestions.

I have tried ebay and craigslist but find the latter hard to find anything good except overpriced working cabinets and more "I buy..." than "I sell..." when it comes to arcade parts.

Yes, I believe craigslist is good for small priced items, nothing more.  Around my area, craigslist generally has more expensive prices than Ebay for the larger items being posted.

Actually, the correct Yellow Pages heading is, "Amusement Devices".
