Mameroom Designs LLC has been in contact with Christian at SlikStik regarding current issues.  We have opened up discussions and are working out the details for Mameroom Designs LLC to buy out SlikStik LLC and take over all of their sales and customer.  We cannot elaborate at this time on the exact details, but Mameroom Designs will honor all previous and current orders made through SlikStik.  While refunds will not be offered by Mameroom, we will guarantee that all orders will be fulfilled.

Please be patient and do not contact Mameroom at this time regarding your order.  You will be notified as the details are being worked out.

All I can say is this is great news. Scott is a class act. I've been working with him for the past 3 weeks on a UAII cabinet with a custom monitor bracket and his has been extremely responsive and made the entire transaction very enjoyable. He always answers the phone and if he cant talk he will call you back or follow up with an email. If Scott can pull this off it would be great for the community.

Thank you all for the positive comments and feedback.  This will be a major acquisition and a major undertaking.  Mameroom Design is unable to simply step in and take over everything right away.  If everything works out and makes sense financially, working out the fine details may take awhile...possibly into the new year.  While this is something that Mameroom and Slikstik are serious about, it is a ways away from being a reality.  I just wanted to let everyone know that we have open discussions and negotiations to see if this makes sense for both companies. 

I have noticed posts regarding this matter on a few different websites already.  While this is exciting new for everyone involved, my intentions were not to create major "buzz" at this point in case the acquisition does not materialize...but to possibly ease a few minds that there is a strong possibility that this may become a reality.

I will definitely post details as they are hashed out.

Without commenting on anything else in this thread, the smart thing to do is to protect yourself.  If that means doing what you need to in order to prevent the potential loss of your money, then you should decide what is in your best interests and pursue that course of action.

I would proceed with the reversal at this point, you can always place a new order after the dust settles.

I was told on 10/25/07 that mine would be ready in 9-10 days, and I haven't heard from them since.

Personally, I already did the paperwork to dispute the charge for my order.

Hello all.  Just reading though the posts on this thread and am wondering if I should hold off on any purchases from SlikStik.  I was thinking about either ordering the pair top stainless steel joysticks and or the illuminated ball top joysticks.  If there is a problem with ordering and the parts arriving, well then that will make my decision.  My thinking is the stainless steel joysticks will pretty much work with any led/button layout that I throw at it but not sure about the illuminated joysticks. 

What is everyone's thoughts/opinions on both styles mentioned above?

I am planning on ordering the Electric ICE buttons with the RGB drives and the LED controllers from GGG as well.  Not sure those illuminated ball top joysticks blend that well with the rest of the led's.  Might be to much bling, bling....

Oh, I am planning on ordering the lighted trackball from GGG as well.  Any thoughts... 

Is there such thing as to much led activity?  I can't seem to answer that myself...  Thanks for any feedback...

I agree with Ironmichael on this one Scott. I have ordered already a UAII cabinet, a 4player blank control panel, and recently a cocktail cabinet from you and I've been 100% happy with each order being done within only a week. But I have ordered a 4 player control Panel with many extras to it from them back in August and have yet gotten anything. Unfortunately paypal only gave me 45 days to reverse the order and I cant do anything with that now. I'm out of $900 ( yea i know) because of them. Theres many more people who havent received anything who just aren't posting their experience on here. If your gonna take on all previous unfinished orders it's gonna be a huge hit in your pocket if slikstik doesnt transfer those funds or anthing worth of value such as parts over with the deal.

I'm sure if you take over you'll definitely turn things around, but as an Junior Accountant personally make sure you speak to professional Accountant in your area & a lawyer to make sure you take the necessary steps in order to cover your own business before on taking the Slikstik business and risking everything you built with Mameroom LLC.

I just wanted to give everyone an update on this thread.  I went out on a limb and decided to order 4 stainless steel joysticks from slikstik.  I know there have been some tention between some of us and slikstik but I wanted to give Christian from slikstik a chance anyway.  The stainless steel joysticks cost $35.99 per and I also ordered two competition bases from him.  Besides the shipping cost of $40 plus dollars, I have no regret ordering from slikstik.  He shipped the items out the same day that I bought them and provided a tracking number to boot.  The items arrived in less than a week, which is amazing considering the holidays.  I have sent Christian many emails asking questions pertaining to his items, and the response and response times have been excellent.  I do not want to start a thread war but just wanted to let everyone know that it is possible to obtain good service with slikstik.  Thanks,

Yes, I am a new member.  My only suggestion is to make sure you contact slikstik (Christian) before you make any purchases from them as to make sure your items are in stock and that they will be shipped in a sufficient manner.  No comment on the Ebay feedback.  I do not know the who, what, where, when, why and how's so again no comment.  Just like everyone here, I am here to offer my feedback in a professional manner.  Just thought I would let everyone know that I did not have any issues dealing with slikstik.  Thanks, Shane

Fozzy, please don't think that in any way am I directly and or indirectly involved with Christian and or the slikstik team.  I am an end user who is trying to finish his home arcade project.  That's it...  Everyone here has been very helpful with their forum threads and the threads that I have posted in the past..  See this thread to view my cabinet that is currently being worked on, http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=74813.0.  My next purchase will be from GroovyGameGear (Randy).  He has some nice products that will for sure enhance the arcade experience. 

Cakemeister, thanks for your comments.  I am not a shill or liar.  Just someone who is trying to get into the hobby!!  You could be correct.  Maybe SS did have some extra stock and needed to dispurse those items purchased.  One can guess and say that yes, I ordered at the right time and had my order filled.  We won't know this for sure.  Either way, the emails I received from slikstik as well as the purchase and order went smoothly.  Could not ask for a better purchase.
