Does USB work in a Win98 Dos window?
« on: May 06, 2003, 11:05:18 am »
I have an Optipac that I would like to connect to my computer through USB.  But, I am running the dos version of AdvanceMame in Windows 98.  I HAVE to use the dos version since I can't program my video card using the windows version.  Is it possible to use the Optipac through USB with AdvanceMame running in a dos window of Windows 98, or will I need to connect it through the serial port?

The USB will work fine in a DOS window, just as long as you don't reboot into "DOS Mode".  As long as Windows is running in the background the USB driver stack is loaded and working.
