GOOGLE! Seriously, you ask a lot of question that can be answered quite easily using a search function either on this board or via Google.

Master List of Vendors in the B/S/T thread.

Lizard Lick
http://www.lizardlick.com/

Akihabarashop
http://akihabarashop.com/

Took me about three minutes to pull that stuff up and copy the links.

Ponyboy - You pay the least $$. The selection is average but you never know when your parts will arrive.

Lizardlick - You pay the most money the selection is better than average but your parts will arrive VERY FAST.  Good communication.

Akihabarashop - Best selection ANYWHERE for Japanese parts, Sanwa or Seimitsu, average price, average delivery time but you will know when it is supposed to arrive.  Great communication

GOOGLE! Seriously, you ask a lot of question

I know, and I did google it. I just wanted to know what reliable places the BYOAC members go to buy their Sanwa parts. I found out about GGG and Ultimarc because of the members here. Was very pleased with their service.

So is Lizard Lick and Akihabarashop as good as GGG and Ultimarc? And what do you guys think of http://www.gremlinsolutions.co.uk?

My suggestion is if you want to know what reliable places the members buy their Sanwa stuff is to ask that question directly.  I read it as if you were asking where you can go to buy Sanwa arcade parts
As the title says, I'm looking to buy Sanwa Arcade parts. Where can I go to buy these?

I did not understand that you were asking where people here have bought them in the past and wanting to know who was reliable.  Perhaps even say that you wanted to buy Sanwa parts, were looking at Lizard Lick, Akihabarashop, and Gremlin Solutions, and wanted to know what peoples' experiences were with them.

I figured that was implied. Timoe must have thought so since he gave me some personal experience info on them. I'd like to know some other people's experience with some of these distributors as well.

Here's another:

Not sure about price etc. if you're in the US there's probably a cheaper source.

Well then, I assume the information I know you already know also. So. You already have the answer. Hooray!

Please, if you have a specific question (e.g. who has had experiences with vendor X buying product Y ?), state it that way from the get-go.

Not only because seeing the same questions all the time is annoying for some folks, but also because people are much more likely NOT to respond to newb-phrasing (and you should note that Timoe responded to HooPZ's post, without which you would have been SoL).

If you can't be bothered to to take the time to ask good questions, then lots of folks won't be bothered to take the time answering them.

Sorry to hijack but I'm looking to get some Sanwas too. Are there any (cheap) UK distributors? I have seen some on ebay but I was wondering if there was any alternatives?

Franco,

gremlin solutions sell Sanwa stuff in the UK but I'm not sure about cheap. Their cab buidling stuff is expensive but you may get what you pay for. I've never used them myself so have a look on their website and see what you think.

You won't be disappointed.  I have placed a few orders with them and the response is quick.  They usally pack up in stock items that night and ship it out the next day.  Chad is really easy to work with.

I've dealt with ponyboy on the B/S/T section several times, I've always been pleased.

Bought some octagonal restrictors from lizard lick, and they were great to deal with as well.

I've tried contacting Ponyboy a few times. He took a really long time to respond. And the last time, he never responded. I never ordered anything from Ponyboy, but I certainly hope he doesn't treat orders the same way he treats simple replies.

www.gremlinsolutions.co.uk is very good, but you do have to order it as people ask for the buttons and never collect it, so you have to pre order them.  Not a problem adn the buttons are class.

The staff at gremlinsolutions is the best, and you can use Paypal as the have a site on Ebay.

US or UK it doesn't matter unless you are thinking of the conversion rate.

Honestly, I love Lizard Lick. They are a tiny bit more expensive, but shipping time is SUPER FAST and they re-stock quickly when things are out. I've been extremely impressed with how quickly they answer questions too.

NO! Gremlin are expensive even in the UK.  It's way cheaper to buy arcade parts from US suppliers and pay the shipping. The exchange rate at the moment is over $2USD to the Pound, so you'll get a much better deal that way.

I think it depends on how much stuff you are buying. For example, one Sanwa JLF...

PonyBoy
JLF-TP-8YT Joystick $20.95 ea
= £11 + 17.5% customs + £8 customs admin fee (I believe) + shipping to UK

LizardLick
JLF-TP-8YT $24.95 ea
= £13 + 17.5% customs + £8 customs admin fee (I believe) + shipping to UK

Gremlin
JLF-TP-8YT £13.50
= £13.50 + £2 shipping + VAT (17.5%)
= £18.21

Arcadeshop.de
JLF-TP-8YT 20.95 eur
= £16.43 + £7.47 shipping
= £23.90

My kitchen cab is progressing here
