What I want to know is for one ive seen a few spinners that seem small I'd like to attach one to my current control panel but inbetween two buttons currently there is a row of three buttons I would take out the middle button and replace it with a spinner, can this be done?
Also I noticed that alot of them are USB I currently have a trackball set up on the cab, how would I configure the spinner if it does infact fit inbetween those two buttons within mame. Thanks !

I have the GroovyGameGear spinner and a Happ USB trackball and they work fine together, but do share the left/right axis. As long as they're not being used at the same time, there is no issue with them working together that way.

Any video of the TurboTwist 2™ spinner in action?

Below is a picture of sorta how id like to place the turbo twist 2 (*pic is not of a TT2) Thinking about doing something like this, I just hope the spinner wouldn't get in the way of the trackball for games like bowling

What do you want to see?  It going around in a circle?   :P

I think that it will be in the way of the trackball, unless you only spin the ball with your thumbs.  I would not plan on this as most likely someone else will want to do a big push, then be disappointed that they hit the spinner.

BTW -  that looks like a TT2...

I had a spinner in this position and ran into it all the time using the trackball.

I don't care for that positioning either... I put mine well off to the lower right of my panel.
Might seem like odd positioning, but after experimenting with various positions, it worked out the best for me. Its away from the ball for Golden Tee, and uses the bottom row of player one buttons (they are actually mouse 1, 2 and 3).

I kinda still want it in the middle just because thats where i would feel most comfortable playing paddle games, as for me I don't think I would personally hit it with the trackball, although i feel your right mostly other users on my cab potentially could. I think as a test I'm going to raise my middle button up, and play a few trackball games to see how badly it really would be.

So does any one know the dimensions of the TT2 Spinner? How high does it come off the panel ?

A spinner knob is a LOT more solid than a button and hurts more when you run into it.

Not at all... With hands on the stick and buttons, the spinner is still a couple inches from any of your fingers.
I fiddled around a lot with the placement before I decided on the final position.

Very nice.  I did want a spinner but could never find a place for it that wasn't in the way.

I just measured (with calipers) my TT2 with the token top knob and it is almost exactly 1" tall.

ok, Not to sound picky... but can you get an attachment for the TT2 that looks like the arkanoid paddle found this off arcadeshop.com : with those same grooves in the paddle ?

Most spinners have a standard size spindle; knobs are generally interchangeable.
