anyone sucessful in using m2emulator in an arcade cabinet?
« on: July 27, 2007, 01:44:51 pm »
Hey guys,
I noticed that m2emulator runs daytona usa. I had no luck in mame - although I dont think its working yet. But in the M2emulator by nebula, it works pretty damn good. It seems like it runs in its own front end, and I cant seem to figure out how to get the options set for the controls. at least they dont work for me. I LOVE mame, dont get me wrong, but for my sit down driving game, Id like to be able to run games like Daytona that do work in another emulator.
Thanks
~V

"bump"
I was just wondering if someone had used this - Id really like to integrate it - until a working mame driver appears.
Thanks

Try in the software forum.  To configure controls you must first load the rom for the game you wish to configure.  Several people have commented on M2 in the S/F but I do not know if any have tried it in a cab yet.

I don't get the question! Is it PC software? If so, then try it. Does it work? If so, there's your answer.

This is an emulator that makes Model 2 games (like Daytona) playable where they are too slow or unplayable in Mame.  Its a legitmate question on whether the M2 emulator works well with cabinet controls.  He is having difficulty configuring the controls so asking him "Does it work? If so, there's your answer" probably doesn't help him get it to work.
