Even with the blue sides you still do not want to accentuate that drawer, it should blend as much as possible and it really sticks out right now.

Not to be mean at all, it's a nice cab, but I have to agree that drawer screams for some socks and underwear to be put in it. Just my humble opinion, not worth much.

Maybe that's the plan? Invite over some chicks...they play for awhile, the holy time the blue drawer is calling to them to put their underwear inside. After a couple of hours, they complie. Sounds pretty devious to me...I like it.

Oh and the marquees looks good.

As for the drawer, you should probably paint the drawer black and then paint the control panel under-box blue - leaving the flat top of CP panel itself black. A nice compromise.

The marquee came out great, I think I mentioned in your design thread that it looked like a professional marquee for a real game and now that it is printed it seems even more that way. I bet that if it had been printed so that it didn't look too dark and off color with unlit it would have looked washed out when lit. If I ever come up with a marquee I like I will very likely be following all of you previous mamemarquees customers to their order page.

..................oh, yeah...hide the drawer, and maybe build in some speakers and add some glass or plexi in front of your monitor and you'll have an even nicer cabinet.

Geez, man, clean up that wiring. That's terrible.

Marquee looks good, cab construction looks good, but I agree on the drawer. Take off the handles and make it match the kickpanel color.

The handles give the cabinet personality. It looks like it is sleeping...the handles the eyes and the coin door its nose/mouth.....

(And ditch the screamingly obvious drawer handles)

I'd definitely change the handles on that drawer and paint it black. I;d also take the dumbbell off the table , put the loose change in to a piggie bank, put some floor molding down there, I'd also get rid of that copy of shadowrun and fire up some Fighters Megamix on your Sega Saturn. And Im not knockin your display at all, but why does it look like you have a bezel inside of your bezel (inside of a bezel?)?

Ah, I'm in the process of painting it now. And it's very annoying. I bought new black paint but the primer seems to be junk. I figured that out after attempting two different coats that just looked off for some reason.

Now that's just plain funny. I could make mine look like that probably if I had enough bezels, the monitor seems small enough to me. I have a 19, but in a cabinet designed for 25 sometimes it seems about like that picture.

I was actually going to make it rotate, but my specific monitor won't degauss at all when it is vertical. I took several tries to get it to work right again after I returned it to horizontal too.

I was going to try and make an "on topic" comment here at the end of my post just to seem like a good forum user, but uh... then I looked at the thread title and remembered all the different things this thread has had in it... I don't think there is a topic anymore, at least not one related to the title.

Keep up the good work Doom Bucket, I'm glad your marquee showed up... and stuff.

whats the deal with the big speaker thingie on the side of the cab?

Also, I think I figured out the bezel...... one is the arcade monitor bezel, the "inside bezel" is actually the TV/Monitor plastic, right?

Cab does look great now. The CP and marquee are perfect and make the cabinet. Have you thought about putting those speakers behind the monitor bezel? Looks like they might fit with the room you have.
