Well, as if I had nothing better to do, I went and picked up a cocktail project that someone decided to abandon. So with your help, I hope to get this thing to a presentable/playable condition.
Thanks to some fine members here, we've started to narrow down what this cocktail may have been. Even without pictures, they've done a good job so far. So perhaps with these pictures below, we can get a definate answer.

The rounded edges, I'm told, are the giveaway that it may be a Pacman or Galaxian.
Notice also the P1 P2 button holes that were added. And the mystery hole above the coin door. There is an identical hole on the opposite side. As far as I know, the guy I got it from said there were just speaker grills over these holes (vents?)
The "veneer" as he called it appears to be shelf paper. (At least that's what the extra rolls he gave me said). I'm thinking about peeling that stuff off and perhaps getting some vinyl from partsexpress. Any experiance with that stuff for cocktails?? What color looks best?
Here's a picture of the CP areas. The bottoms have been chewed out to fit new joys and buttons.

Since these CP "wings" are glued in pretty good, I'm probably going to use them, but cut out the rest of the bottoms and put new wood in there.
Here's a picture of the new CPs this guy had fabricated. He paid over $200 to make them??? (should have gone to mikesarcade.com or the like). Unfortunately, the carriage bolt holes are HUGE! If I decide to use these, is there anything I can do about that? I put in some #10 bolts, and the head doesn't slip through, but it obviously doesn't stop from turning also.

Here's the coin door that came with it. Looks like a Stern? It had some angle iron bolted to it to be used with a padlock, I imagine. So its got a few extra holes in it. But it doesn;t look like a real good fit for the hole. As seen above, the coin door hole has the 4 corner bump-outs, and those don't get covered by this Stern door. The opening is about 12 1/4" x 12 1/4". Any idea what would be the best door for that opening? (midway door?)

(just noticed you can't really see the extra holes in this picture too good. But they're there, lol).
And here is a close up of the CP "wings". (sorry for the rotation). These look awful "shallow" to me. I've got some J-sticks that will probably be short enough, but I fear standard happ buttons will be too long. Should I get the replacement leave buttons for this CP?

I've got a new monitor that came with it (no pics yet, sorry). Its a WG with VGA input. This project also came with a decent enough computer, and an old IPAC, so initial plans are to make it a mame machine.
Thanks for looking. Don't expect super fast progress, as I have another project cab I'm picking up tomorrow (ug!)
