Hi guys,

Does anyone know the exact name or color that the VS super mario brothers was done in?

I have an R-type cabinet and I want to convert it to look like that. Thanks again.

Paint code link...

You can thank prOK for this one.

As payment, can you post a photo of the cab you are converting?  Just curious.

yeah sure thing. Next time I get a chance ill snap a pic and post it. Thanks a ton man!

The closest one on that page is the donkey kong but they dont have the code for that. If anyone else has the code for the vs. mario or donkey kong that would be great!

check out my thread here if I end up converting this to a DK cab (granted I can find all the parts I need) I may have a Vs. Control Panel for ya if you are interested.

The DK blue would work for a Vs. Mario but it just looks a little to blue, Not light enough.

What the best way for getting a smooth finish? Roller or Brush?

Best smooth finish would be to use a spray gun with an air compressor. I was thinking of going that way myself but buying an air compressor(and has to be a good one at that) is out of the question at the moment.

Definitely a roller leaves a smoother finish than a paint brush. Many people here swear on a foam roller for a nice smooth finish. Haven't tried one myself but I'll probably test it out.

You can get a near perfect finish with a roller. It's much smoother than you'll get with a brush. Just as a tip, any type of painting you do will look smoother if you lay the cab on its side. Gravity helps you out and smooths your strokes together.
