I'm not an electrical expert so don't take this as gospel, but I'm pretty sure that as long as your power supply is properly grounded, you'll be okay, since the ATX plug that goes from the power supply to the motherboard has ground pins, which should ground the motherboard itself.
I think a short time out would be enough...
Ditto. I've had my motherboard installed this way for months without any issues at all. I'm just using pcb standoffs to attach it to the inner side of my cabinet. I'm not using any additional ground wires. But if it makes you more comfortable, connect a wire from a grounding point on the motherboard to the power supply housing.
Those standoffs are quite nifty! Where'd you pick them up?

Oscar, the inside of that cab looks strangely sinister. I don't trust it.
OK What I want to know is where you got the HD and CDROM Mounting L Brackets...or are they just standard home depot L-Brackets with smaller screws used?I was going to use plumbers tape to secure my HD and CD-Rom....But l-brackets..whoda thunkit!
