P360 base the same size as a super base?
« on: June 02, 2007, 08:41:05 pm »
Can I use my Happ super router template for a P360?

I am top mounting a P360 that wont arrive for a few weeks.  Can I use the same router template to top mount it?

Should match fine.  Go for it.

Yes you can.

I have a panel that has two P360s and one super. While I was putting the panel together I checked out of curiosity and they were the same.

FWIW, P-360s are made on the same base pattern as old-school Wico sticks- which, in turn, have the same mounting dimensions as Happ Ultimates, Competitions, Reunions, 49-ways and Supers.

Yeah, I used my Wico base just to be sure.  My concern was the are under the top of the base.  I figured the widest part of the base (top) looked exactly like a wico.

My concern was the circle part on the bottom of the P360.  I dont know if I'll be able to "drop in" for a top mount.  Does the round base part come off?

Yeah, the round part will unscrew.  It's just barely wider than the narrow dimension of the top portion of the base assembly, like 1/16" - 1/8" wider.  The round part begins 1 1/8" from the top of the base assembly, and the total height of the base assembly is 2 1/8" with the round part installed, not including handle/actuator.
