At the very least Howard, explain this:

Why do you believe your opinion is right?

By your own admission now, you've never watched the show or seen an episode.

This means the basis for your opinion is simply second-hand regurgitation of the opinion of others.  There's also a smidge of your view of the premise of the show - something that you quite literally have zero knowledge about, given that you've never watched or seen an episode, since the premise is again, something you've used second-hand information for.

Basically, you're expecting your opinion to carry some measure of import (otherwise you wouldn't have pontificated about something you admittedly have no way of knowing about) without having invested one iota of your time.

That's a fancy way of saying you've admitted to being full of crap :laugh2:

after HC detailly explained to us why this heroes finale was HIS perfect finale...

I just want to say.... to me... this finale is still a LET DOWN !!!!!

I WANT MORE ACTION !!!
I WANT MORE CG !!!
I WANT MORE SPECIAL EFFECTS !!!
I WANT MORE STUNTS !!!

I think HC wants to do a doctor degree and write a paper on heroes... and other tv drams... I simply just want to be entertained.... and no, I don't want to use a microscope and dissect the show...

to you HC, it might be the perfect finale...

to me... it is not....

so plz stop writing like you're representing all of us....
(for the record, at least not me....)     :blah: :dunno

Figured I'd resurect this thread for anyone still watching Heroes. So far, this season has sucked balls, but Monday's episode seemed to "flip a switch". It was a very good episode as a whole, though the show is still very predictable. For instance, they made it HUGELY obvious who the hooded killer was in the premier. As soon as that scene happend, I turned to the wife and said " (name left blank for those who haven't watched) is the killer). And last night I got to say "told you so".

Anyways, here is a neat interview with the show creator basically admitting his show is sucking and he is going to fix it and give the fans more of what they want: ACTION!!

I’m still watching it, but Prison Break had a two hour episode this week, so I ended up recording it instead of Heroes.

I don't even care about Prison Break anymore, I just fast forward through episodes when there’s nothing better to do.

I'm hanging on for the ride too. I think season 2 is mearly ok.  I havn't watched this weeks episode yet but the wife said it was good.  There was one other episode that I remember as being really good.  but other than that I havn't really bonded with the characters.  In fact I'm disapointed in most of them.

Wife and I have been fans from day 1, and while I personally think season 2 has been a good rest / segue from season 1,  I do understand the complaints about a lack of action as well.  It really is quite amazing that it's only about one 15 minute section per episode that these folks use their powers this season.

The gripe is legit, but I wonder if people wouldn't also tune it out if it was nothing but power battles every week for weeks on end as well.

Totally!  Offer the Governator a bunch of money, team him up with Bruce Willis, and let it fly!  That's the only way to make a show good! ::) ::) ::)

SPOILERS TILL I SAY I'M DONE

I don't know about the rest of you, but I always figured it was the Nightmare Man.  So I don't think that was meant to have been a surprise at all.  Finding out he's Matt's father was a surprise.  Now I have to wonder if "Adam" has been in on some of the actual killing.  The NM had Nathan and Matt fighting each other, and was going after the guy in the company, while Hiro's father succumbed to the hooded figure.  I'm assuming the hooded figure was actually Adam.
So if I'm right on that, you knew it was TK (even though Hiro was actually the legend in the tales,) before he was introduced and his power revealed?  And before he turns evil?

Why are people so seemingly down on a show or movie when they manage to predict something?  You should be congratulating yourself.  You should be happy you managed to pick out the foreshadowing!  I was happy to find out I was right that Hiro was TK all along as soon as he donned the mask.

I think Elle might be Adam's daughter.  And I still think Sylar will turn good someday.  Assuming a larger threat is introduced.

Concerning Prison Break, I'm anxious to see what Michael concocts to avenge Sarah's death (I was hoping her head was just a really good prop, but it isn't.)  I assume he realized that the woman talking to Whistler was who killed her.  If not, he soon will after talking to Lincoln.

I'M DONE.

Yes, I meant I knew TK was the hooded guy. It wasn't just foreshadowed, it was "hit you with a sledgehammer" obvious. The whole TK thing kind of sucked though. It would have been pretty cool if the wuss on the horse really was "TK", but Hiro ended up being the true TK all along. Yeah, he did that one thing, but Adam was still technically TK. The show was headed down a bad path, and I'm glad to see they are fixing it, and also sad to see that the season will end on Dec. 3rd.

And about more action/special effects/stunts, the show hardly has any as it is. Would it be too much to ask for a larger scale payoff here and there. I don't want to see a creature of the week/ 24 extravaganza every week. Now, after sitting thru the whole 1st season and getting such a HUGE letdown as a finale, I think I have a right to complain.

The time travelling rules seem to resist letting travellers create a paradox (for example, Sylar still survived). One theory of time travel says you could theoretically travel backwards in time without risking any paradox problems, provided you lose all memory of future events first. Now that we've seen Peter time travel at least once, and his memory has been wiped (which is not actually supposed to be possible though!!!), thoughts?  ???

I just finally got time to read the article.  I think it's very cool that Kring is LISTENING to the fans, taking it seriously and responding via a change in writing as best they can.  I hate to watch it wrap up on December 3, though....but who knows?  The writer's strike may actually wind up SAVING Heroes for years to come as disappointed in it as the creator sounds!

I don't really disagree with any of his points, even though I've been pretty satisfied with the show myself.  I will be back for volume 3, definitely.

If Heroes has a shortened season due to this writer's strike, I guess I can prepare for same for our two new favorites "Journeyman" and "Bionic Woman" as well.  Not to hijack the thread, but damn I really hate that for Heroes and the new bionic series as well.  The latter was also just starting to realize that ACTION sells, as well as some romantic storylines....the last two episodes of BW have kicked it hard and been all kinds of fun (predictable sure, but hell, so was the original).   This week's looks to continue the trend of fun, action, etc.

I do understand the reasons for the strike, it's just a shame that we fans are the ones who ultimately suffer.  What are we gonna get for six months?  Dancing with the Stars Poodles?  AAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!
